August Update

Don't you all just love how I say "August Update", like I've secretly been updating all along?

Yeah. I suck.

So - Friday, I should be quitting my job.

This, naturally enough, is pretty scary. I'm doing it so that I will spend the time I should be spending on building my two companies, but in doing so I'm giving up a regular paycheque and my safety net.

But you know - I look at the folks who are my age, who a few short years ago were at the same level work wise as I was. Those people are now a job grade or more ahead of me, and I don't really understand why that is. Sure, they're good people, but not *better*.

Of course, what it boils down to is : those people either took opportunities that presented themselves, OR made their own opportunities.

Well, hell. I can do that.

It may be scary, but that's no reason to not do it, right?

I admire you dude, and for what it's worth, I think you're awesome and damnit, this SHOULD work out if for no other reason than that. (Though of course there are plenty of other reasons. :D)
