1. What is your biggest personal pet peeve?

Public bathrooms. I *hate* public bathrooms. More to the point, I hate *sharing* a bathroom with someone else at the exact same time I am in there. I hate it even more when there is no music or other muffling noise. Cause then everyone just... sits there. In absolute silence. Waiting for someone else to make a noise. It's like a graveyard only with fewer dead people and more silence. *shudder*

2. What is your biggest societal pet peeve?

Stupid people.

I'm not kidding. Ask goblie. Stupid people are it.

3. What is your biggest pet peeve about women?

I hate that for many women personal politics and backstabbing are a way of life. I don't understand that mode of living.

4. What is your biggest pet peeve about men?

Huh. *Thinks*. That strip clubs, hookers, and golf are seen as valid mechanisms for business sales, I guess. Really it boils down to so many of them (though not all) using sexualization as a segregation tactic in business. That is really infuriating. I don't understand that mode of living either.

5. What is your biggest pet peeve about children?

That so many people believe I should give up MY opportunities to learn in favour of them. Why did I lose my right to press my nose to the window at the aquarium when I turned 13? I hate the way people push their kids ahead of me at the Science Centre or the ROM, or anywhere else for that matter. Kids are people too - AND SO AM I, DAMN IT!

6. What is your biggest work pet peeve?

Getting overruled when I'm right. That pisses me RIGHT off.

7. What is your biggest fandom pet peeve?

Right now I have 2.
A. Cancellations of shows with actual promise, or shows that are actually successful while absolute SHIT like 'Ghost Whisperer' stays on the air. (I'm looking at YOU, FOX. Also YOU, SCI-FI. You bastards.)

B. People in fandom who seem to feel that by the act of playing a character they know the actor/writer/producer/whoever, and who turn this into the extreme. Also people who DO know the actor/writer/producer/whoever and feel it means they are the voice of the gods.

8. What is your biggest TV inaccuracy pet peeve?

When tv shows assert that metallic tattoos will get hot and cause excruciating pain in an MRI. (Totally NOT TRUE!!)

9. What is your biggest transportation / driving pet peeve?

People who tell me to take public transportation because THEY don't need to drive, and then try to prove to me that public transportation is adequate by using their own situation as their baseline for proof.

10. What is your biggest meme-related pet peeve?
Memes that demand you tag others. Makes it simultaneously a popularity contest and a joiner activity - two things that drive me nuts enough in real life to want to avoid it online.



Wow. See? Now I feel like I've gotten a week's worth of rants off my chest! Awesome.

Interesting meme. I might pick it up though I can't, at the moment, think of pet peeves which would suit some of the categories when they are so general.

Re: 10 - that's also interesting! I never thought of tagging that way. I mean, I think I generally tag people, but mostly 'just cause' (evidently I am a meme!rule!following!sheep), I don't care that much (or care if I *don't* get tagged) but I never looked at it from a popularity contest/joiner angle. Ponder on this further, I shall.

Oh yeah, and anyone else reading, I just want to point out that I am fairly sure (75%) that Infie meant that I have heard her tell me she stupid people annoy her rather than implying that I am actually one of the stupid people who does so.
