What are the five best tv opening credits sequences?

Hmmm.

1. Battlestar Galactica (new series) obviously - I mean, how awesome are they?
2. Babylon 5, season 5
3. Tour of Duty
4. House
5. Spooks Season 1.

It's MI-5, not nine to five. *Swooshy leather jacket*

(Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

It makes me sad that I haven't seen *two* of those opening credit sequences.

I dunno... you're making me think too much.

I always tend to love the opening credits if I love the show no matter how much the sequences suck in reality... you know what I mean, I'm sure. I'm way too loyal to my obsessions -- but my gods, Weeds has got the best idea ever. I love the opening credits, totally, but fact that you never know what kind of music you'll hear next makes it even better. Yeah, that's all I had to say... I'm just THAT smart.

Or wait, maybe not all: I do love Battlestar Galactica's opening credits, too, btw. They kick ass like... a lot.

And Xena's! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Xena's opening credits! But again, I think it's mostly *just* cause of the music... I guess I actually have a thing with theme songs.

Uh... niiice ^^ (hi!)

let's see...

1.- Dexter (best opening credits ever)

2.- '"The Babylon project was our last, best hope for peace. It failed.'
Babylon 5 (but season 3)

3.- 'My name is John Crichton (I'm lost), an astronaut, (shot through a wormhole) in some distant part of the universe (I'm trying to stay alive) aboard this ship (this living ship) of escaped prisoners (my friends). If you can hear me, (beware). If I make it back, (will they follow)? If I open a door, (are you ready)? Earth is unprepared (helpless) for the nightmares I've seen. Or should I stay, protect my home, not show them you exist. But then you will never know … the wonders I've seen.'
Farscape season 3

4.- '"The Cylons were created by man. They evolved. They rebelled. There are many copies. And they have a plan."
Battlestar Galactica (New series)

5.- Eureka. (because everyone wants to live there after the opening credits)

I know... BSG is 4th, but I just adore the previous ones (I'm not sure about Eureka, but I couldn't think of a better one).

XDD I can't see the cursor in your background (I'm going blind!)

Ever notice how that shot of Crichton in his astronaut helmet looks like Lee Majors as Steve Austin in the opening credits of "The Six Million Dollar Man"? =)

Speaking of which... "The Six Million Dollar Man" opening credits are classic. (Gentlemen, we have the technology. We can rebuild him!)

A classic indeed, although somehow I remember best the Bionic woman opening, with the sounds and the parachute accident.

And no, I hadn't noticed... until now >_<

Anyway, classic openings...
Ten years ago / In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Team.

Ironically enough, that A-Team monologue shows up in an episode of the re-imagined Bionic Woman series too. =)

I so have to see that... I think they're going to air the new series in Spain shortly, but I'll probably download them in english.

For what I've heard, they shot the new series down pretty fast, even though it looked quite well. Frankly, after watching the new Knight Rider series I'm a little afraid of what they might have done.

Re-imagined BW was better than the new KR backdoor pilot. It wasn't all that hard to be better either -- I mean, what can you say when in KR, the main characters don't get out of the frakking car for over an hour? And they didn't do anything except talk in the car for all that time. Jamie got to fight someone at least...
