Work News - Update

skinscriptToday went better than I expected and not as well as it could have, but overall a positive result.
They have assigned a new Director already, but he seems a pretty spiffy guy (much better than Director Autocrat who is leaving), and we all (me, new Director, and VP) seem to agree on how the project should proceed.
They are also ok with having me come back in a similarly nebulous position as before, where I have responsibilities and authorities but few to no deliverables - which is excellent. The downside is that there will definitely be more oversight and interference than I dealt with last time, but I'm willing to give it a shot to see how it goes.
So ... *relief*

Date: 2007-09-28 04:36 pm (UTC)But yes; these two seem pretty reasonable. The new Director came across as pretty easygoing, and the VP was very businesslike and didn't seem to mind when I contradicted her a bit -- Not that she liked it, but she didn't try to chop my head off like many would.
