Ready for Spring

Over the last few months, it has been lovely to look out my window on my way to bed and see the trees sprinkled with snow, the white carpet rolling out endlessly to the eye, touched only by the deer tracks.
The wind making the trees dance and their shadows flow in a combination of threat and beauty has held me spellbound many times.
And once, once there was a deer writ in silhouette against the snow. Beautiful, and peaceful.
It has been a gorgeous season, full of wet and storms and winter fury. More than double the average snowfall for my area. I've issued over twenty communications to my team to go home early or to stay home altogether because of weather. I just sent another one, just now.
All of that said... enough is enough. I want sunshine and to drive home with the light. I want warmth on my face and to have my team meetings outside. I want to fight with the geese for my greenspace, and to see flowers. And leaves. And grass. Hell, I would be happy to see a mosquito right now.
*hunkers down... and waits.*
