Sometimes I Can't Even Explain it Myself

Just rewatched the Criminal Minds episode with Alex O'Loughlin (in the role that shows the dude can ACT), as the serial killer Vincent.

I loved Vincent. All his twitches and tics, and aside from being, you know, completely murderous, he was such a sweetheart. Really, he just needed a hug.

I'm pretty sure I'm doing it wrong.

He was SO good!
I think, maybe, that's why some folks think he's not a good actor - because he's actually so good that he's utterly believable and people think he's just being himself. I've found him totally believable as every character I've seen him play, and they're all very different people.

I usually find with Criminal Minds that they aim for pretty evil bad guys - there usually isn't a lot of room for thinking 'oh, how sad'. But with Vincent, I was seriously cheering for him to get away and to survive, and genuinely irritated that the team actually found him so fast.

*hugs* for Vincent. And for the little boy. :(
